Spiraling Antiferromagnetic Spin Structure in Exchange-Coupled Multilayers
Fengyuang Yang and Chia-Ling Chien

A spiraling antiferromagnetic (AF) spin structure, featured in many theoretical models of exchange bias, has been observed in Co/FeMn/permalloy trilayers. Both the turn angle between Co and permalloy layers and the pitch angle between adjacent antiferromagnetic spins depend on the thickness of the intervening antiferromagnetic layer.
