Simple non-Abelian finite symmetries and tri-bimaximal mixing
September 21, 2007

Abstract
The unexpected neutrino mixing patterns have caused a resurgence of
interest in possible flavor group structures, in particular finite
groups with two- and three-dimensional representations. In my talk, I
argue for using the simple group PSL_(7) which hasn't been considered by
physicists so far. I illustrate how tri-bimaximal mixing can be obtained
from a subgroup of PSL_2(7) in a remarkably simple way.
