Modified Gravity and the Accelerating
Universe
May 5, 2006
The universe is accelerating, and we don't know
why. The most popular
explanation invokes a smoothly distributed component of dark energy,
but a modification of general relativity at low curvatures remains a
viable alternative. I will explore both models of modified gravity
and their observational consequences, examining both braneworld models
and purely four-dimensional theories.text in that file's own buffer.
