High-Energy Theory Journal Club
Fall, 2004

Welcome to the JHU High-Energy Theory Group Journal Club webpage.  This is a new experiment where the group gets together each week to learn about some advanced topics in particle theory.  Each semester will be on a different topic, chosen by popular interest.  People will then present a famous paper each week on the topic; grad students are required to present a paper each semester, and postdocs and professors are strongly encouraged.  Each session will build on the last, like any other class.  This will be an oportunity to learn about advanced topics by reviewing the original litterature.  In addition, it will provide a good practice on how to give a good talk on an advanced topic to a learned audience.  Everyone is invited to attend.

This semester, the club will be meeting Tuesdays at 1:30PM in Bloomberg 447.

For an excellent review on how to give good talks, take a look at this paper by Robert Geroch.

The club is maintained by Professor David Kaplan.  All inquiries should be directed to him.  This webpage is maintained by Andrew Blechman - you can direct all inquiries about the webpage to him.
