More on Projectile Motion

I would like to give one more example on projectile motion and in particular on how to figure out whether or not things will collide or meet in the course of their motion. The presecription for solving these problems is quite simple:

  1. Write expressions for the time dependent position of the objects, tex2html_wrap_inline226 in question. Use the same coordinate system!
  2. Look for solutions to tex2html_wrap_inline228. The objects collide or meet if there is a time, t which satisfies this equation.
