My Christmas (2005 Dec 24 to 2006 Jan 4) was spent visiting my friend Joel at bitter cold Syracuse. His package of a 4-day ski vacation plus a mega-feast at New York's Chinatown on New Year's Day, with free room and free car, was simply too hard to resist.
