The area described on the previous slide that contains all the
unique wavefunction information is referred to as a Brillouin
Zone.
There are an infinite number of Brillouin zones, and they are
universally referred to according to the rules above. Essentially
each time a Bragg Plane is crossed, the next Brillouin zone
is entered.
In the figure above, the yellow square comprisesthe first zone, the
purple comprises the second zone, and so on.
