Thanks to my history of eventful silicon pager carrier weeks, the silicon crew decided to get a "before" picture of me when I started my second week as a pager carrier, Mon Mar 7, 2005. I think this is probably pretty representative of the way I normally look, at least on a Mon morning. :-) Unfortunately, this week turned out to be worse for the silicon (although better for me) - twice, a magnet in the Tevatron turned on at the wrong time ("pre-fired"), and dumped the proton-antiproton beam straight into our silicon detector. This is very, very bad for the detector, so we basically turned it off to do damage assessment. That made things easier on me; since the silicon wasn't running, I never got paged in the middle of the night. ;) (2/23)
