I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that I’m pretty excited to finally get a proper Master of Arts page online. Woo hoo! The posting of this comic strip was actually the motivating factor behind my launching this website in the first place, so thank you Mortimer for all the inspiration!

Master of Arts is an idea inspired by my friend and former comic strip writer, Will Newman. For a few years, Will produced a daily comic at Brown University entitled My Best Effort (click HERE for a view of the very final version that comic he made before graduating). Upon hearing some of Will’s ideas I thought, “Shoot, I can do that!” and the strip was born!

Admittedly, this is still a work in progress. I’m constantly receiving feedback regarding what’s funny and what is just plain terrible. I realize that only 3% of people find Carrot Accountant to be funny. That’s ok…I just hope to learn from all of this and eventually improve the strip enough so that it’s genuinely enjoyable. Thus, contact me with any feedback, good or bad. It can only help!

Since I can draw about as well as Stevie Wonder can drive, I have solicited the help of several illustrators over the years. Check the archive to see which artists penned what. Our current artist is the very talented My Tong, who has promised to deploy a range of artistic styles. Most of the recent comics you’ll see on this website are penned by her. Enough rambling...go read the comics!
