Where to Buy Yoo-Hoo in the Western Suburbs

23 Sept. 2002

Okay, so what would you expect from the Mid-West? It is no East Coast but it is certainly no Salt Lake City desert when it comes to the Yoo-Hoo. One can generally pick up a cold Yoo-Hoo at most convenience stores 'round here. However, picking it up at the super-market can be a bit more difficult. I don't know what the deal is but it seems that they prefer to sell in singles and not in bulk around here. Easier to distribute at block-parties or something, I don't know.

"Welcome to the story here so far..."
White Hen Pantry
Mad locations. I usually rock Rt. 59 & Deihl though.
This place pretty much rules! Open 24-hrs a day. It is pretty much a glorified 7-11. The best part about it is the wall of beverages. They sell pretty much everything from automatic transmission fluid to flowers. The cold wide-mouthed bottles here are some of the best in the nation.
Meijer's
Rt. 59 and Jefferson St.
This place is like the Super-Dome of shopping centers. It is what Fredy Meyers always wanted to be but didn't have the bayag to become! If you are feeling like you need company when you go to pick up a Yoo-Hoo here, check out the complete pet section at the back of the store. Crazy! One thumbs down though because this place only sells warm wide-mouth bottles. They tend to rotate the stock a lot though so you tend to get new bottles. They do have self-checkout though. Bitchin'!
Jewel-Osco
Aurora and Ogden Ave.
Some kind of bastardization of "Osco-Drug" but it is a pretty quality store. Kind of feels like you are shopping in Utah again for some reason. Don't know what exactly to make of that though. The reason to brave this store though is this: They stock the 11oz Cans of Yoo-Hoo. It is funny here though. They always seem to stock it but I don't see anyone buying it here. I found some wierd extreme inline skating limited edition Yoo-Hoo cans here once too.
