Purchasing: Useful Links:
- Real Goods - Note that they have two catalogs -- this one is oriented towards household goods.
- Real Goods Renewables - This is their renewable energy catalog.
- North Arizona Wind & Sun - Good selection of products, good inventory levels. Prices often
slightly lower than Real Goods.
- The Alternative Energy
Store - Good selection of products, but small inventory. Prices
often significantly lower than Real Goods. (These folks typically get
your order, then order the material from the manufacturer or distributor.)
They do have much less to offer than Real Goods in the way of consulting
and technical support!
- Solar Bulk Buy - Lowest prices, but on a small selection of products. This business is a labor of love
by one couple, Fran Orner and Joel Davidson, who are encouraging others to
put up solar systems by selling components as cheaply as they can. Joel wrote
The New Solar Electric Home,
a early (1980's) standard in the renewable energy field.
